Philomusia

Philomusia is an ensemble comprising nine musicians, headed by Othmar Trenner. The brass band featuring clarinet, oboe, fagot, horn and counter fagot present works of Dvorak and themes from “Mazurek” and the repertoire of the Vienna Philharmonics in Prösels Castle in 2017. Also, they offer a lighter menu in playing overtures from Lortzing’s opera “A.Hofer” and other well known tunes. Philomusia always blend text recital and music, and Viennese actor Alexander Mitterer (aka commissar Pfurtschneller from the crime series “Tatort”) will deliver the spoken word.
